WHO WE ARE
Why the name Sangai?
Sangai means together in Nepali.
"We are together" is a common expression used in Benin to express its involvement in a project. It is a motivational and grouping phrase.
But why in Nepali?
One of our founders, Emeline, took her first steps in development with the Nepalese communities in the small village of Chitrasari.
Located in south Nepal, it is one of the gateways to the magnificent Chitwan National Park.
It's the place where she learned to smile and listen.
These two characteristics are today's strengths in developing your projects.
This name is the meeting, the link, of the two countries, of the two experiences that gave birth to Sangai.

Emeline Beneult
Sangai Managing Director
After studying business management, specializing in tourism development, she worked in business development and tourism experience development for six years in Southeast Asia, with a strong focus on responsibility and community involvement. She then joined the African Parks Network team to work for the W Benin National Park as Director of Business and Tourism Development.
For a year, she worked with the communities of northern Benin, starting by identifying their resources. Then, with the creation of the Pure W Bénin brand, she marketed various processed products on the outskirts of the Park in Cotonou. She also laid the foundations for a project to market baobab powder from the Park.
In her view, these different experiences have raised the problem of accessible, conscious, and responsible commercial development for all projects. Sangai is the solution, she believes, for reconciling the generation of income with social and environmental impact, all at the same time, without having to make a choice.
The world we live in is a challenge that she wants to address with her strengths, and she has a strong sense of empathy and motivation.
His favorite quote is, "The baobabs, before growing up, start by being small." Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince.
